When you groom with Republic of Paws, you can select your groomer and maintain direct contact with them. While operating in a highly independent manner, our grooming team adheres to our high standard of care including the commitment to “do no harm." This commitment means that our groomers will never perform a service like de-matting or expressing anal glands that would threaten your pet's health or that could cause your pet to experience severe anxiety or pain. Our groomers will never sacrifice the comfort of your pet for convenience, speed, or appearance.

Republic of Paws' grooming team adheres to best practices advised by the nation's leading integrative and holistic veterinarians and works to update our products, practices, and techniques to follow current research and recommendations. Our Pricing & Process

As highly trained professionals, Republic of Paws' groomers set the price of each groom based on the size, coat condition, and temperament or needs of your pet. Please note that the most substantial increase in the price of grooming services relates to matting in the coat. Mats not only elevate the risk of grooming, but substantially increase the time needed to prepare your pet's coat to be groomed. Brushing your pet at home daily is the best way to reduce the time needed to safely and comfortably groom your pet. Talk to your groomer about how to prevent matting and other tips for home grooming care.

When you book with Republic of Paws, here is what you can expect:

1. Our booking coordinators will let you know which groomers have availability based on your time-frame and preferred location or you can book online using the links under each location listing above. Our team can offer an estimate of what your grooming price may be based on the information about your pet that you provide, but please note that all prices are subject to change pending check-in or a consultation with one of our groomers. If you would like a firm price estimate before booking, please contact us for a grooming consultation.

2. When you are ready to book, you will be set up as a client in our booking system and will be asked to sign a liability waiver and asked to provide current rabies information for your pet. You will then receive a confirmation text for your appointment date and time, displaying who your groomer will be. If you need to amend your appointment, the number for the facility will be included in the text.

3. On the day of your appointment, our team will verify that we have your liability waiver and current rabies vaccination information on file. Your groomer will then do a thorough check-in with you and your pet. At this time, you should receive a firm price from your groomer based on your pet's breed, coat condition, and possible behavioral or health needs. This price will be associated with your appointment. Your groomer will also let you know an estimated time for pick up based on the other clients they will be working with, your dog's drying preferences, and any other time constraints. If for any reason your groomer needs additional time to complete your pet's grooming appointment due to unforseen issues, they will reach out to assess how best to handle the situation with you, whether that involves a later pick up time or a possible increase in service price. 

4. At pick up, you will be given the opportunity to thoroughly check your pet to ensure that you are happy with the quality of the groom. Many touch ups can be done at pick up, so please do not hesitate to let our team know if anything is not up to your standards! You will then pay for your appointment and be given the option to rebook with your pet groomer. If you prefer to try another member of our groom team, you can also book an appointment with another service provider at that time or choose to use our online booking option. We want you to find the very best match for your pet, so do not hestitate to let us know how we can assist in this process!

**To ensure that you can maintain appointments with your preferred groomer, it is recommended that you pre-book appointments for a full calendar year.**

Our groomers will provide you with both an estimate for your grooming services as well as an estimated time for pick up. Please note that our groomers never force groom a pet and will allow adequate time for your pet to have breaks from standing as needed, to follow your pet's preferred drying routine, and to safely perform the requested grooming services. We ask that you allow additional time for any unforeseen needs in the grooming process. When groomers feel rushed, safety and quality can be sacrificed, so we ask for the patience and cooperation of our clients to avoid these risks.

BATH & TIDY (Non-Shedding Breeds Only - if your dog sheds, please book a bath/brush/deshed) (Starting at $45)
(includes 2 Baths, Conditioner, Ear Cleaning, Nail Dremeling, Blueberry Facial, Full Blow Dry, Face/Feet/Fanny Trim, Finishing Spritz and Bandana). Please note that Bath & Tidy services are not offered when matting exists in the coat as water can tighten and worsen matting. If your pet is matted, please select the full-service grooming option.

CAT GROOMING (Only available at our South Academy Location) - Starting at $70
Cat grooming poses a high risk for bites and infections to our groomers and, as a result, our cat groomers bill at a higher hourly rate. Please advise your groomer if your cat has not been groomed previously. Kitty grooming services include:
