To ensure the best fit for your pet, please use the sizing guide and any applicable notes below.

Appropriate application of the sizing guide:
Please note that while weight can factor into the size of the harnesses, the most important measurement is the chest/girth. Please accurately measure your pet's chest and base your final sizing decision on this measurement. When measuring the chest, ensure a close measurement as the appropriate fit of the harness should be slightly snug.

Sizing for Cool Mesh Harness:
Due to the stretchy nature of the fabric and the greater adjustability of the Cloak & Dawggie Cool Mesh and Camo Mesh harnesses, Republic of Paws generally recommends that if your pet is on the low end of the dimensions for it's size according to the chart below, that you select the size smaller in the Cool Mesh and Camo mesh harnesses only.
Example: A 16 pound dog with a girth of 21 inches will wear a medium in any of the Step & Go harnesses and will generally find the fit to be slightly loose. The small in the Step N Go harness will generally be too snug on a dog of this size. This same dog will wear a small in the Cool Mesh Harness and should generally experience a good fit.

What if my dog is in between sizes?
If your dog does not seem to fit within the sizing guidelines for the sizing chart below, we recommend checking out the Cloak & Dawggie Sport harness. This harness staggers sizes with the other Step N Go harnesses, so a dog that would be too big for a small and too small for a medium, will often experience a perfect fit in the Sport Harness.
